Around the globe the cash industry creates new national communities to bring greater interoperability and efficiency to cash cycles. According to the example of German GS1 CashCOM's in 2012 new initiatives are established for US market with "GS1 US Cash Visibility" and in Russia with "Cash Management Community for Automation“. Activities are started as well in France with "Conférence Fiduciare" of France by Banque de France and GS1 and in Portugal. Overall, major local player are involved, mainly the National Central Banks, leading commercial banks, retailers as well as the CiT/ armored car and cash center operators.
The cash handlers primary focus is to improve the cash supply chain using best-in-class concepts, new automation technologies and IT systems and to agree on market standards. These concepts support e.g. the implementation of the tacking and tracing philosophy and standards for cash shipments or a better integration of new systems by standardized IT interfaces. The participants expect faster learnings by exchange of industry experience and support in decisions for their future cash strategy.
Russian Cash Management Community for Automation

A round table discussion of the Cash Management Community was held under the subject «professional community development: significance, determination, result». Main target of the event was the development of the cash industry in terms of favorable conditions for its dynamic and innovative modernization.
In form of open dialogue, a broad exchange of views and ideas was accomplished in terms of critical issues facing the industry, as well as the main directions of future development of Cash Management Community. 35 directors and experts in the field of cash management from 23 leading Russian industry organizations participated in the event.
